You might arrive alone. You won’t feel that way for long.

Most of our travelers book solo. By the end of day one — usually over the welcome dinner — that changes. The women you meet on this trip tend to stay in your life. Small group, shared views, real friendships.

Three handpicked luxury stays carry you through the trip: the Exeter Hotel in Reykjavík, Highland Base at Kerlingarfjöll in the heart of the highlands, and ION Adventure Hotel, all chosen for comfort after a full day outdoors.

We have single and twin room options. If you choose a twin room option we’ll match you with someone from our group.

Itinerary

Reykjavík is the starting point of your women-only winter wellness retreat. Upon arrival, guests make their own way from Keflavík International Airport to the hotel. Check-in begins at 14:00, with luggage storage available.
At 15:30, we meet at the hotel reception for introductions before setting out on a guided walking tour of Reykjavík. We will stroll through the city center, explore Icelandic history, culture, and local traditions; an ideal way to settle in and connect with the group. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner, marking the official start of the retreat.

What to wear during the summer in Iceland

Icelandic weather can bring sun, wind and rain all in one afternoon, so layers are your best friend. Start with a base layer, add a warm sweater or fleece, and top it with a waterproof, windproof jacket. Comfortable shoes are enough for our scenic stops (waterproof is a bonus), and a hat and gloves are handy even in summer. A small daypack is perfect for your knitting project, a water bottle and your extra layers, so keep your rain gear within easy reach.

What to pack

Pack for changeable weather, relaxed evenings and a few unforgettable moments in the geothermal water. The list covers the everyday essentials, from comfy clothes and a swimsuit to your phone charger and passport. Bring a few extra pairs of socks, sunscreen and sunglasses (yes, really, the summer sun is strong), and leave room in your bag for souvenirs. Travel light, and you’ll thank yourself later.

What to Wear Hiking in Iceland in Summer

Icelandic summer weather can be unpredictable, especially in the mountains, where conditions can change quickly. The key is to dress in layers so you can easily adjust throughout the day.
Choose a moisture-wicking base layer, a warm fleece or wool mid-layer, and waterproof and windproof outerwear. Comfortable, quick-drying hiking pants and sturdy waterproof hiking boots are essential. Always carry your waterproofs and an extra warm layer in your daypack, even when the forecast looks good.
