Important Summary
• Tours are women-only and operated in small groups

PAYMENT POLICIES
Once you have submitted your booking and personal details and made payment via bank transfer and/or payment link, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.
We accept debit and credit cards: Visa and MasterCard.
If you prefer to pay for your booking with a bank transfer, please contact us at info@vikingwomen.is and send us all the information regarding the booking, name of the tour, accommodation and arrival date.
There is no service fee for processing Visa or MasterCard payments.
All prices listed by Viking Women are charged in Icelandic Krona (ISK) unless otherwise stated. Any currency conversion, international transaction fees, or bank charges applied by your card provider or bank are the responsibility of the participant.
Viking Women is not responsible for differences in exchange rates, conversion fees, or additional charges imposed by third-party payment providers or financial institutions.
CANCELLATIONS
Viking Women reserves the right to cancel a scheduled trip if the minimum number of participants required for the tour has not been reached.
In the event of insufficient enrollment, Viking Women may cancel the trip up to four weeks before the scheduled departure date.
If the trip is canceled due to insufficient participant numbers, Viking Women will promptly notify all registered participants regarding the cancellation via email or phone.
Participants will be provided with a full refund of any payments made towards the trip, excluding non-refundable expenses incurred by participants, such as airline tickets, visa fees, or other third-party costs.
Viking Women regrets any inconvenience or disappointment this cancellation may cause and will make reasonable efforts to assist participants in finding alternative trip options or rescheduling for a later date, subject to availability.
Participants are encouraged to review the trip-specific details and confirm the trip’s status closer to the departure date to ensure it meets the required minimum number of participants.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
All persons participating in the Viking Women trips, do so entirely at their own risk. On Viking Women trips, its staff shall not be liable for any damage, loss, theft, injury, accident, illness or death suffered by any person, howsoever caused during a Viking Women trips, hike, walk or excursion of any kind.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
All cancellations must be made and confirmed in writing (for example, by email to info@vikingwomen.is)
Deposit & Final Payment
The deposit required at booking is non-refundable and secures your place on the tour. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the tour start date.
Refund Terms
• If you cancel within 48 hours after booking, the amount you have paid will be fully refunded.
• If you cancel 60 days or more before the tour start date, any amount you have paid beyond the non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
• If you cancel 59 days or fewer before the tour start date, there is no refund.
• If you do not show up at the scheduled pickup location or time, no refund will be issued.
Cancellation by Viking Women
If Viking Women cancels a tour (for example due to insufficient participant numbers), participants will receive a full refund of all payments made to Viking Women for the trip. This does not cover third-party costs such as airline tickets, visas, travel insurance, or other expenses outside Viking Women’s control.
Important Notes
• Refunds apply only to amounts already paid to Viking Women.
• All refund amounts will be issued in Icelandic Krona (ISK).
• We strongly recommend that guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for cancellation fees and unforeseen events.
Why We Have This Policy
Our tours are operated in small groups and require advance planning, reservations, and commitments to local partners, accommodations, transport providers, and guides. The deposit secures your place on the tour and allows us to begin this planning process. Because spaces are limited and often cannot be rebooked at short notice, this policy helps us operate responsibly while continuing to offer carefully curated, women-only experiences.
Itinerary Changes
The itinerary and included services for your tour are provided as a guide and may be adjusted due to weather conditions, safety considerations, road or route conditions, seasonal changes, or other operational reasons beyond the control of Viking Women. Viking Women reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, and tour inclusions if necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of participants or to respond to circumstances that affect the operation of the tour.
Clients will be informed of any material changes as soon as reasonably possible. No refunds are provided for itinerary changes that do not reduce the overall value of the tour experience. In the rare case of a significant change that materially alters the nature of the tour, Viking Women may offer alternative arrangements or options, subject to availability.
VALIDITY OF PRICES
All rates quoted or shown in our tariffs are based on current prices. All prices mentioned on this site include value-added tax.
Viking Women reserves the right to alter or change already published prices on the website without notice in the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes, or any such costs increases that is outside Viking Women’s control.
Fitness & Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and medically able to participate in the tour activities. Viking Women reserves the right to decline participation or adjust activities if a participant’s condition poses a safety risk to themselves or others.
Women-Only Tours Policy
Viking Women Tours offers women-only travel experiences designed to create a supportive, respectful, and empowering environment.
Our women-only tours are open to women, including transgender women. Viking Women Tours does not admit men to women-only departures.
All participants are expected to treat fellow travellers, guides, and staff with respect and consideration at all times. Discrimination, harassment, or behaviour that compromises the safety or comfort of others will not be tolerated.
By booking a women-only tour with Viking Women Tours, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
