Iceland’s Summer
Ring Road Tour Package

A 9-day women-only summer tour around Iceland’s iconic Ring Road, featuring waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, fjords, and long days under the midnight sun.

Tour Overview

Iceland’s landscape has been shaped over millions of years by volcanic eruptions and powerful glaciers, creating one of the most diverse natural environments in the world. The best way to experience this variety is by traveling the famous Iceland Ring Road (Route 1)—a 1,322-kilometer (821-mile) loop that circles the entire country and connects its most iconic regions and attractions.

Following much of the coastline, the Ring Road leads through some of Iceland’s most spectacular summer scenery, including waterfalls, black sand beaches, volcanic deserts, glacier lagoons, and vibrant geothermal areas.

Along the way, you’ll experience Iceland’s rich range of colors, from the black sands of Reynisfjara and the red hues of Námaskarð Pass, to the turquoise waters of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, lush green valleys of the Eastfjords, and hillsides covered in blooming purple lupine. Summer highlights include world-famous sights such as Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls, dramatic fjords, coastal cliffs home to nesting puffins, and long days under the midnight sun.

Extended daylight allows for relaxed pacing, scenic hikes, and plenty of time to fully experience each stop. Traveling the Ring Road with Viking Women means exploring Iceland as part of a small, women-only group in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you’re traveling solo or with friends, this summer journey offers meaningful connections, shared adventure, and an unforgettable way to experience Iceland at its most colorful and alive.

Next, we gear up for a guided glacier hike on Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull located near the Katla volcano. This is one of the best ways to experience Iceland’s glaciers up close.

We begin with a boat tour on Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where we glide among floating icebergs that have broken off from nearby glaciers. Each iceberg is unique in shape and color, creating an unforgettable experience in this serene glacial environment.
Just across the road lies Diamond Beach, where ice fragments wash up onto black volcanic sand, sparkling like diamonds against the dark shore—one of Iceland’s most photographed natural wonders.
