Tour Overview

Our Iceland knitting tour is a small-group winter journey designed for women who love yarn, culture, and meaningful travel. Led by Ásdís, a designer, knitter, and experienced guide.

Throughout the tour, guests enjoy hands-on knitting workshops with guidance for all skill levels, exploring Icelandic LOPI wool, traditional techniques, and classic patterns like the lopapeysa. Between workshops, we visit local textile studios, meet craftspeople and dyers, and explore Icelandic culture through museums and historic sites.

Between creative sessions, we experience South Iceland’s winter scenery: waterfalls, black sand beaches, geothermal areas, and dramatic coastal landscapes.

Evenings are spent at a remote, cozy hotel with mountain views and excellent conditions for Northern Lights sightings (Sept – April). After full days of crafting and exploration, guests can unwind in outdoor hot tubs and saunas, knit by the fire, or step outside to watch the aurora if conditions allow.

This winter knitting retreat in Iceland offers a thoughtful balance of creativity, culture, nature, and rest, an inviting way to experience Iceland in winter while connecting with traditional crafts and a small group of like-minded women.
